Subscribe

First of all, thank you for your interest in subscribing! It is an honor to provide you with updates about music therapy, drumming, and wellness 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year, right here and now in cyberspace.

Furthermore, it would be a pleasure to connect with you over email at Kat@SoundHealthMusic.com. Now, the nitty gritty:

Internet, blogs, podcasts, webcasts, rss feeds, huh???
Here are 2 quick tips that will make your life easier online.

  1. Subscribe via email. Look to the right, click “Email Subscription,” type in your email address, and voila. You will receive email updates for my blog.
  2. Subscribe via RSS feed or Reader. If your email box is too full and you’d rather get updates through a reader, then click on “Posts” next to the weird orange box with radio waves up and to the right, then select the reader you use. You might use iGoogle, MyYahoo, MyAOL, or something else. Click on the reader that you use. OR open your homepage reader (e.g. iGoogle), and click on “add content” or “add stuff,” then enter this: http://feeds.feedburner.com/rhythmforgood. Voila! You are subscribed. Check out more information from Google here.

I suggest using your reader as your homepage on your internet browser. That way, you’ll see all of your blog and news subscription updates when you turn on your computer every morning. Super easy!

If you didn’t know any of this stuff before, then don’t worry. I am such a late-bloomer figuring out all things internet (still making new discoveries every day). Here’s my story: In the summer of 2009, I discovered Google Reader.

Whoa! This opened up a whole new slew of possibilities for my relationship with the internet. I was no longer lost, swimming around aimlessly, clicking on every shiny, sparkly, new weblink that popped up on each site I entered, forgetting the reason I opened my computer in the first place.

I am now organized. I choose what news to follow. The news no longer follows me on whatever site I happen to stumble upon (unless I choose to stumble upon sites…).

So, if you have a gmail, yahoo, or aol account, then I suggest playing around with iGoogle.com, MyYahoo.com, or MyAol.com. Makes life easier online!
