In other news, the deadline for early bird registration for the American Music Therapy Conference is on WEDNESDAY, July 11. In honor of the deadline and all the hard work the conference planners put in to make the magic happen, I’m sharing this video from last year’s conference.

Meet Bill Matney, Music Therapy Drumming extraordinaire, as he gives us some quick tips about the pandeiro!

Are you coming to AMTA this year? Are you presenting? Are you traveling from afar? I’d love to hear about it. Throw down a comment, and let me know so I can make a point to meet you there.

Hiiii Rachel! Can’t wait to see you at conference. I had friends who did the instrument crew in San Diego a couple years back, and eeek is right! Good luck – I know it’ll be fun and rewarding.

Hey Kat! I’ll be there and presenting for my first time at a national – both a 5 hour CMTE and a 1.5 hour concurrent session. Both on literacy. Can’t wait to meet in person!

    Hi Kat,
Thanks for posting the video on the pandeiro! Love it!
I’ll be there at conference taking the NMT training, a pre-conference institute, and playing drums and encouraging others to sit in and play with the noon jam band. Hope to meet you at some point. See you in October!
